Philadelphia Chapter's ZOOM Meeting(s) Instructions

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the chapter is not able to have normal, in person, monthly meetings.

The Chapter will hold virtual meetings on ZOOM. This is an on-line meeting site which works on most electronic devices. Our meetings will be encrypted, require a passcode and all attendees will enter via a "Waiting Room".

Instructions for those that have never used ZOOM:

The best option is a desktop computer or lap-top. Most of these made in the last ten years include a built in camera and microphone. For those without the camera and mike. HD cameras with a built in mike are available from many web sites or stores like Best Buy and Target. They cost about $20.

Operating Systems: ZOOM supports Windows 7,8 and 10 plus Mac OS 10.9 or higher.

Browsers: ZOOM supports Windows IE 11+, Edge 12+, Firefox 27+ and Chrome 30+. On the Mac they support Safari 7+, Firefox 27+ and Chrome 30+.

Prior to the meeting, go to https://zoom.us and set up a FREE account with your email and create a personal password. This is not required but helpful. You can still join the meeting without an account.

Smartphones and Tablets: On an Android tablet or phone, go to the Google Play store and download the free ZOOM app, 0n an Apple iPad or iPhone, download the free ZOOM app from the Apple App Store. Almost all tablets and smartphones have built in cameras and microphones.

Telephone Access: You can listen to meeting on your phone. Dial +1 929 205 6099 US (New York).
Then using the prompts enter the upcoming month's meeting ID and passcode.
